# How do I assign nameservers to a domain?

This article shows you how to set the active nameservers for your domain name. Your domain name must be registered with Krystal, otherwise the changes made on our systems will not have any effect.

1.  Log into your [Krystal Client Area](https://krystal.uk/client/) using your registered email address and password.
2.  Click on **My Domains**

3.  Click the **Manage Domain** button or on the domain name you wish to manage.

4.  Click on the **Nameservers** tab.

    Remember to click **Change Nameservers** when finished. Updates can take up to 24 hours to fully propagate globally.
