# Setting up Email forwarding

cPanel Email Forwarder options can be found by clicking the **Forwarders** icon in the **EMAIL** section.

You can choose to forward email from one address to another or for an entire domain.

### Forwarder hints & tips

**Do I need to create a full email account for each address I want to forward?**

No. If your domain is mydomain.com and you want to forward email from sales@mydomain.com to john.smith@somewhere.com then you don't need to create a mailbox for sales@mydomain.com.

Simply select mydomain.com from the dropdown list when Adding a Forwarder and then type sales in the **Address to Forward** box and john.smith@somewhere.com in the **Forward to Email Address** box.

**Can I forward email for an existing mailbox?**

Yes. All that will happen is that a copy of the incoming message will be left in the original mailbox inbox, and another copy will be forwarded to any forwarding addresses that are configured.

**What if I want to forward an email address to multiple destinations?**

Just create multiple forwarders - one for each destination email address.
