Setting up Microsoft Outlook on Apple iPhone & Android
This guide walks you through setting up an email account in the Microsoft Outlook app - the process is virtually identical for iPhone, iPad and Android. The screenshots in this guide are from an iPad.
You should have already configured a mailbox within a Krystal cPanel account. To carry out the instructions in this article, you may need the Manual Settings for your mailbox.
If this is your first time using the Outlook app, and haven't previously added any email accounts then please open Outlook and start from Step 3.
If you are already using Outlook with other accounts follow these steps to add a new account.
- Click on an existing account initial, to open the sidebar, and then click on the Gear icon to open Settings
- In settings click on Add Account and then Add Email Account
- Type the email address you'd like to add and then click the Add Account button
- Outlook should autodetect the email server as IMAP. Enter your email account password and a Display Name and Description, then click Sign in.
|| Sometimes Outlook will either fail to or wrongly detect your mail account type. If it shows anything other than IMAP, click to configure manually and select IMAP, then enter your password and the setup should continue.
Your email account will now be added and any messages on the server will start to sync to the client.
